Hybrid System

What is Solar Hybrid System?

This system is a combination of on grid solar system and off grid solar system. It has battery backup in it to store power and it also have the ability to feed surplus electricity into main grid.

A hybrid solar system will work day and night which means you always have electricity at your home. Hybrid system is a combination of solar energy storage with grid connection. This system provide the flexibility of being able to store the power into batteries that your solar system generated during the day time instead of feeding it back into electricity grid. The same energy can be used in the evening or night instead of buying from government grid at a higher price.

How the Solar Hybrid System Works?

A hybrid solar system works by sending solar power to your inverter, which then sends energy to power your home. Extra energy that is not used to power your home goes to your home battery for storage.

This battery can provide power to your home when your solar panels are not producing energy Since most people are working during the day and are not home to use the solar energy as it is generated, the energy is fed into the grid for very little return. However for the majority of commercial businesses which operate during the day a common grid-feed solar system is still the most economical choice.

Hybrid solar systems enable you to store solar energy and use it when you’re home during the evening when the cost of electricity is typically at the peak rate.

The ability to store and use your solar energy when desired is referred to as self-use or self-consumption. It works in the same way as an off-grid power system but the battery capacity required is far less, usually just enough to cover peak consumption (8 hours or less) as opposed to 3-5 days with a typical off-grid system.

Advantages of having Hybrid Solar Systems for your house:

  • The best thing about hybrid solar systems is that they store solar energy and low-cost electricity.
  • They can be used for advanced energy management.
  • Enables energy independence.
  • Stores & saves solar or cheaper off-peak energy.
  • Allows use of solar energy during peak times (self-use or load-shifting)
  • Power available during a grid outage or blackout –UPS
  • Enables energy independence

Reduces power consumption from the grid (reduced demand
